2018 is the call to #pressforprogress, now, more than ever there's a strong call-to-action to press forward, and progress gender parity motivating and uniting friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive.

International women's day is important to raise awareness of our Women's program Dress for Success. 60% of our clients are women with many coming from domestic violence backgrounds or women returning to the workforce after raising family.

Like the 2018 Press for Progress our Mission is

“working together to provide individuals in need with personalised support to secure lasting employment”

Our staff and volunteers are committed to taking action and supporting our clients on their journey to employment.  Each of us can be a leader within our own spheres of influence and also commit to press for progress.

It was a pleasure to speak to over 100 men this morning and see how Watpac supports gender parity in their workplace, they are really 'doing the doing' and pressing for progress by collecting clothing and raising much needed funds.

It was great to see so many men in the workplace supporting IWD and our women's program.

Donations from Watpac will really help the over 1500 clients we receive each year back into work and on the path to independence.

First Impressions Count We Talk To Employment Consultants at Woodridge

First impressions.png

It can be great to have an interview booked but if you don't have anything to wear it can be challenging to make a good first impression, and that's really important.

Today we visited MAX Woodridge consultants to talk to them about how important those first impressions are. The consultants often refer their clients for a styling session where they receive a full interview outfit to keep; making sure they make the best possible first impression to win the job.
