Volunteer Morning Tea

Today we held one of our regular morning teas for our volunteers and staff.

We have 79 volunteers on our books and in 2017 our volunteers contributed the equivalence of 14 FTE positions. Our volunteers are a pivotal part of delivering valuable services to our clients.

Free Event – All Welcome! On Saturday 3rd Feb PROFESSIONAL STYLIST Gabby Hammett facilitated an interactive workshop around Styling. Gabby deals with clients from all walks of life and all shapes and sizes, so clients, volunteers and members of the public who came to the event got some styling tips for their next interview or for day to day work. Thank you to Gabby for the tips on how we can reset our style and build our confidence.

First Impressions Count We Talk To Employment Consultants at Woodridge

It can be great to have an interview booked but if you don't have anything to wear it can be challenging to make a good first impression, and that's really important.

Today we visited MAX Woodridge consultants to talk to them about how important those first impressions are. The consultants often refer their clients for a styling session where they receive a full interview outfit to keep; making sure they make the best possible first impression to win the job.

Empower Hour

Suited to Success is raising funds for our Dress for Success Brisbane program. Clothing donations are great but in 2017 we received over 42,000 items so in 2018 we are asking for individuals and companies to support us by donating an hour of their pay in our Empower Hour campaign.
